guilty as left uncharged

guilty as left uncharged because our world doesn’t care about the hearts that aren’t even seen as hearts, but rather objectified as showpieces for the world to quench their greedy eyes at. tickets and tickets sold, promotion in the affected name of sightseeing. is this who we have become? we compose the problematic roots while pointing fingers at unrelated things because- this is who we have become. keep your eyes closed because if you don’t see your crimes, the world doesn’t see them either. we are saving the earth! we banned plastic, oh yeah, how nice of us- but we still go running to the animals behind metal bars and we go there and we curse at the people for the accommodations so provided- we’re mere pointers, not action-takers. we are promoting the system and throwing hate at it simultaneously.
we built this framework of a materialistic world around us, all while shattering the grounds on which humanity once lay.
past tense.
